We had been signed up on a different platform for a month then I saw AJ's post and advertisement talking about a "movement" of getting back to the farm and relation with the farmers...It was at that point I knew our ranch needed to shift our plans and get in on the start up of this platform. I am in no way the slightest bit "tech savvy" I can be amongst bulls, cows, mud... I can be chute side doing preg checking.. I can fabricate needed tractor tools, gates, and design complicated water systems. But to sit for weeks at a computer and design a website and store getting the listings and figure out how to get the customers payments...forget about that... the other platform left me frustrated and actually thinking if our ranch is depending on this to stay afloat then it probably will not succeed. After a 30 minute onboarding call with the FTF team I was able to simply list the items to set up the store and it was set up over the weekend. It took a little while to get some sales coming in but now we've had multiple sales and even getting people ordering our monthly subscription boxes. We knew stepping as early as we did that it wasn't going to happen instantly but the team has constantly improved all the inner workings of our store and the FTF platform itself. We signed up as a Pro Level producer and that has been a great experience to alleviate so much time needed input on our part. If I make a mistake or something needs to be streamlined to make customer orders easier the FTF feam is on it right away and it is handled quickly. Our ranch tries to be consistent with our advertising but AJ and FTF are ready at any time to help push our advertising, fun, or informational reels by sharing and pointing people our way. During our spring and summer we do farmers markets and the response from our customers has been amazing. For them just knowing we were part of a greater movement that is driven to bring local customers to local producers of all sorts made it a win-win in their opinion. In short, stepping in the beginning portion of Fromthefarm.org we have seen the relentless work this team has put in and I know this is going to change our food system "one fork at a time".
